Awnings not only provide an architecture feature for your business, they are also the perfect energy saver by keeping unwanted weather off your patio, front door and/or windows.

Here are a few words we like to use when discussing awnings:

Drop: The measurement from the top of the awning to the bottom of the awning frame. Often simply referred to how tall the awning is.

Projection: How far the awning extends away from the building. If the awning is more than 5′-0″ away from the structure you will need support legs.

Valance: A length of decorative drapery attached to the bottom of the awning in order to screen the structure.
